The New 400 Updates:
Good News/Bad News From The New 400.
First for the good news:
We have had over 900 rental requests and are finally caught up on the list! We have managed to keep the lights on in the longest operating movie theater in Chicago with your support during a pandemic.
Now for the bad news:
Unfortunately, as of Friday, November 20, 2020, per the orders of Governor Pritzker, movie theaters are required to close. Again. For now.
What does this mean? If you have a private screening at The New 400, we have to postpone it until the Governor moves us back to phase four as a statewide mandate.
We have paused all new bookings for the time being and are contacting customers in two-week blocks hoping that we can reopen soon.
- We can reschedule. We are booking dates into May of 2021 so we can for sure find you another date. You will be on the “A” list for rebooking as soon as we are able to do so. There is no date set to move back into phase four.
- Mail you a New 400 gift card.
- Refund your payment.
If you have rented from us, please let us know how you would like to proceed.
Thanks for your support,
